N.B. I should have posted this post when I first wrote it. By now Alain de Botton’s opinion about museums is all over the place, and way better written (that is: by him) so you’d better read his columns on the Huffington Post or the Museums Association website. Sorry!

It’s been a while since we reflected on the way Lady Gaga or Richard Branson would make your museum top the charts. Recently a book came out by the great thinker and museum babes lover Alain de Botton which provides us with another nice angle on the outsider’s view on museums: secularism.

Visiting a museum

10 reasons to visit a museum:
1. Museums make you feel good. 2. Museums make you smarter.3. Museums provide an effective way of learning. 4. Museums are community centers. 5. Museums inspire. 6. Museums help bring change and development to communities. 7. Museums are a great way to spend time with friends and family. 8. A museum may be your next community partner or business endeavour. 9. Museums are free… sometimes. 10. There is a museum close to you.

All we are people and we have different tastes. Some of us like active leasure spending, but some of us like passive leasure spending. For some of us perfect holiday incloodes sports, sightseeing, but for some people perfect holidays means visiting museums, galleries, where you can watch paints, walking throw streets and enjoying architecture. I agree with both views, because we have different opinion of everything. Someone likes visiting museums, someone backwards doesn't like it, and it doesn't meen that those people, who don't like, are not educated and intelligent.

My opinion about the museum is the same, i think it's waste of my time and money, because all the things what you want to see , you can find on internet in these days, and it's also free. In school, some school teachers say that we are going on a trip to some old museum, and you have to waste about 10 lats for the trip and entrance. Why would i like to waste 10 lats on something what i'm completely not interested in.
Yes i also agree many people like to enjoy and see it for real, and for them it's worth to waste the money to see something ancient. But for my opinion, many stuff are fake there.

Model answer 1:
Although Proficient creators like musicians and painters are the assets of our society, whether they should be given sufficient fiscal support by their own authorities has triggered spirited debates. Some assert that government is obliged to generate money for their skilfulness, whereas others contend that alternative ways are to be taken into account. In my perspective, the latter should be considered highly, for they provide clear-cut advantages.
The idea is that government must lend a helping hand to its artists does have a handful benefits. One reason why people propose this is that artists could easily collect reasonable income to bring forth remarkable creations. The perceived general idea is that this readily available fund would encourage the talents to bring out the best in them, which, in turn, enhances remarkable achievements not only to the artists but also to the government. Nevertheless, it is highly likely that, if they get necessary resources as easily as ABC, they would develop laziness and this drawback retard the overall cultural promotion and improvement of their nation.
However, the counter arguments of supporting talents financially seem more likely to be effective rationally than the former. This is partly because people who work hard to earn money for their creative works will definitely value their job and thereby they strive tirelessly to achieve their dreams. They will, for example, estimate the needed costs and use it adequately. It is also relevant that artists can do further alterations in their creations as they are not bound by any rules and regulations, and they can clearly do whatever they want for better accomplishments. Moreover, each and every authority is mandated to rather consider other big issues, which is chiefly important to protect its public.
To put it in a nutshell, while getting promoted economically by the government is supportive, I believe, other options such as private funds are to be chosen, in addition to the government budget, it would be argued, could be allocated for other necessary purposes.

You most probably have already visited some countries, but there are definitely the one(s) you want to go. Please tell me about that country, what is there what it makes special and attractive for you? What places of interest would you like to see there? (200-250 words)

I’ve been to Thailand more times than I can count. I’ve lived in Bangkok twice, I’ve run tours through the country, and, if I stay away for more than a year, I feel as if a piece of me is missing.
It holds a special place in my heart.
People often ask me why I return to places I’ve already visited instead of exploring somewhere new. Well, that’s an easy answer: because I feel at home when I’m visiting them.
And Thailand is probably the one place outside of the latvi. where I feel most at home.
And why do I love Thailand so much?
Delicious food, weather, amazing ing culture
